Caregiver’s Support Group
Are you providing day-to-day care for a spouse or other loved one? If so, you may be pleased to know that Quarry Hill offers a special support group designed to help ease some of the challenges that caregivers face. The Caregivers Support Group is held on the third Thursday of each month from 3:30 to 4:30 pm in the Library on the third floor of the Anderson Inn at Quarry Hill. Meetings offer a safe, respectful, and understanding environment where you can find relief from loneliness and depression, develop new coping strategies, learn about community resources, gain confidence, avoid “burnout,” and, perhaps most importantly, focus on your own well-being so that you can continue to care for others.
The group is facilitated by Kim Danforth, LMSW-cc, and Catherine Athay, LCSW, both of MaineHealth.
Considering joining the group for the first time? Please call facilitator Kim Danforth, LMSW-cc at 207-301-3095 or Catherine Athay, LCSW at 207-301-8977 to let them know you’ll be attending.
