Meet Quarry Hill's Senior Staff

Quarry Hill Staff Bob McKeown — Bob is Quarry Hill’s Executive Director. Bob led the project through its development and initial construction phases. He now oversees all of Pen Bay Healthcare’s skilled and long-term care services and facilities, including the Anderson Inn at Quarry Hill and the Knox Center for Long Term Care in Rockland. Bob has worked for Pen Bay Healthcare for over 20 years, first as Material Services Manager at Penobscot Bay Medical Center and most recently as the Administrator of the Knox Center. He received his B.A. from Geneva College in Beaver Falls, PA, attended Boston University and received his Master’s degree in Business from Husson College in Bangor.
Paula Cunningham-Kinne Paula Cunningham Kinne, RN, BA, BSN, CCM — Paula is Quarry Hill’s Director of Nursing Services. During her 25 year nursing career, Paula has cared for a variety of patients, from Pediatrics to Geriatrics, from high tech to home health. Along with this vast clinical experience she has successfully held numerous management positions focusing on setting and achieving goals, modeling excellence, a commitment to quality, and optimizing standards of healthcare delivery. Paula is the past president of a national council of Directors of Nursing. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from Simmons College, Boston and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Alfred University, New York.
Denise Pease Denise Pease — Denise is Marketing Director for Quarry Hill. Her vast healthcare experience has spanned from the retirement community setting to biotech & pharmaceutical publishing. Prior to joining Quarry Hill, Denise was marketing manager for a biopharmaceutical information provider in Massachusetts. Denise holds a Bachelors degree in Communications and Business Management from Notre Dame College, Manchester, NH.
Quarry Hill Staff Nina Cunningham, RN — Nina is the Program Director for Quarry Hill’s Courtyard program which provides 24 private rooms for people with memory loss. A Registered Nurse who has worked for Camden Health Care Center for the past 22 years, Nina’s most recent position was as a Charge Nurse for CHCC. She also worked as a Case Manager for the Area Agency on Aging, and she has experience as a Public Health and Medical/Surgical Nurse. She received her degree in Nursing from the University of Maine in 1984.
Carmen Edwards Carmen Edwards, RN — Carmen is Unit Manager of the Gardens, Quarry Hill’s short- and long-term care nursing unit. She has a degree in Nursing from Northern Maine Technical College and has been a Registered Nurse since 1996. Carmen brings with her to Quarry Hill years of experience in short- and long-term care and homecare. She has held the position of unit manager in a short-term care setting for the past several years.
Quarry Hill Staff Suzanne Miller, RN, BSN, CCM — Suzanne is the Health Services Coordinator for Quarry Hill. She has a Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing from Bellarmine University in Louisville, Kentucky and has been a Registered Nurse since 1988. She has experience in geriatric, medical-surgical and psychiatric nursing. In 1995, Suzanne obtained her certification in Case Management and has worked primarily in Sub-Acute Rehabilitation and Long-Term Care facilities as a case manager for seniors since that time.
Quarry Hill Staff John Roy — John is Quarry Hill’s Executive Chef. He was formerly Executive Chef for Wood Dining Services. He attended the University of Maine at Orono and graduated from Johnson & Wales University. He also attended the Dublin School of Catering in Dublin, Ireland. He served as the Director of Food Services and Hospitality at Camp Kieve in Nobleboro, and managed the food service program for their educational conference facility.
Quarry Hill Staff Steve Tuttle — Steve is Quarry Hill’s Director of Plant Operations. He is responsible for the smooth operation and maintenance of the entire Quarry Hill community, which contains 207 total units.  Before coming to Quarry Hill, Steve was Operations Manager for Canadian National Railway in Detroit, Michigan, and was responsible for all train and yard operations within the city. He attended Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio; the University of Toldeo in Toledo, Ohio; and Red River College in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Noreen Noreen Clark — Noreen is the Activities/Volunteer Coordinator at Quarry Hill. Noreen has ten years’ experience in long-term health care. Her educational background is with the University of Maine, Orono. She majored in Physical Education and Recreation, after several years, changing her major to Elementary Education with a concentration in Science. She started as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant on Mountain Street at the Camden Nursing Home. She received her Activities Coordinator certificate at Brewer Nursing and Rehab. Center, worked at Windward Gardens as the Activities Assistant for six years, then took the position as Activities Coordinator with Camden Health Care Center four years ago.
Cheri Alexander Cheri Alexander — Cheri is our Director of Social Services. She has a BA-majoring in Psychology, from the University of Maine at Farmington. She is a Licensed Social Worker, is certified in Case Management, and is our facilities Privacy Officer. Cheri has facilitated the Midcoast Alzheimer's Support Group for 9 years, and served a 6-year term on the Board of Directors of the Alzheimer's Association-Maine Chapter. Cheri has worked for Pen Bay Healthcare since 1991, previously as the Director of Social Services at Knox Center, our sister facility-now serving as the Director of Social Services for both organizations.
