Assisted Living in a Neighborhood Atmosphere

Of all the benefits that make Quarry Hill truly outstanding, perhaps the most important is our ability to offer you a full continuum of care. Higher levels of care, including assisted living and nursing home care, are available at the Anderson Inn.

Each assisted living suite, whether one-bedroom or efficiency, has its own kitchenette and bath. To create a true feeling of neighborhood, these private residences have been clustered around spacious social areas, including a country kitchen that's especially popular for visiting with neighbors and sharing favorite recipes. There's also a warm and welcoming dining room and a garden terrace just right for tea or lemonade with friends.

Assisted Living Services & Levels of Care

At Quarry Hill's Anderson Inn, the Terraces and Courtyard assisted living programs include 24-hour staff supervision, 24-hour licensed nursing staff onsite, emergency response system, three meals daily, weekly housekeeping and laundry, scheduled transportation, a full activities program, all utilities (except telephone and cable TV), and more.

The assisted living programs offer three levels of care based upon each individual's interests, capabilities, and needs. Because we strive to provide fair prices and good value, residents pay only for the level of service they need. Those requiring lower levels of care pay a lower daily fee, while those requiring more care pay a higher fee. Our staff periodically assesses each resident. Should his or her needs increase, the fee rises accordingly.

The Terraces – Traditional care residence

  • Level 1
    Criteria: Requires supervision, cueing, set-up, and/or limited physical assitance with two or fewer of the following:
    • Bathing and dressing
    • Mobility and transferring
    • Toileting
    • Eating
    • Assistance with behavior management (cueing, redirecting, and/or minimal one-on-one)
    • Assistance with medication administration
  • Level 2
    Criteria: Requires supervision, cueing, set-up, and/or limited physical assitance with three or more of the following:
    • Bathing and dressing
    • Mobility and transferring
    • Toileting
    • Eating
    • Assistance with behavior management (cueing, redirecting, and/or minimal one-on-one)
    • Assistance with medication administration
  • Level 3
    Criteria: Requires extensive assistance with three or more of the following activities of daily living:
    • Bed mobility
    • Toileting
    • Transfers
    • Eating
    • Mobility from place to place
    • OR requires limited or extensive assistance in at least two of the three areas noted above, and fails the cognition screen in the medical eligibility determination assessment.

    Residents assessed at Level III are generally eligible for nursing-home care. If a resident reaches this level, our staff begins working with family members to find suitable placement. We do not admit, or readmit residents, at Level III.

The Courtyard – Secure residence for the memory impaired

    In the Courtyard, we offer our special assisted living program for individuals with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of memory loss. Its private and safe surroundings are enhanced by a specially designed, enclosed garden in which residents may stroll to their hearts' content, or simply sit in the sunshine and listen to the birds. Respect, compassion, and true old-fashioned kindness are the guiding values of the round-the-clock staff.

    • Level 1
      Criteria: Requires supervision, cueing, set-up, and/or limited physical assistance with two or fewer of the following:
      • Bathing and dressing
      • Mobility and transferring
      • Toileting
      • Eating
      • Assistance with behavior management (including cueing, redirecting, one-on-one, and/or de-escalation)
      • Assistance with medication administration
    • Level 2
      Criteria: Requires supervision, cueing, set-up, and/or limited physical assistance with three or more of the following:
      • Bathing and dressing
      • Mobility and transferring
      • Toileting
      • Eating
      • Assistance with behavior management (physical directing/guarding for redirecting, refocusing, de-escalation, and/or one-on-one)
      • Assistance with medication administration
    • Level 3
      Criteria: Requires extensive assistance with three or more of the following activities of daily living:
      • Bed mobility
      • Toileting
      • Transfers
      • Eating
      • Mobility from place to place
      • OR requires limited or extensive assistance in at least two of the three areas noted above, and fails the cognition screen in the medical eligibility determination assessment.
